Garlic bread

Very easy! Warning: NOT healthy, but tasty!

Oven 375 degrees. You can vary the temperature based on what you are cooking, just alter the time.

1 loaf store bought French Bread
1 stick butter (at room temperature)
3-4 Tblsp garlic (based on taste)

Cut bread in half lengthwise (so you have a top and bottom)
Mix butter and garlic in bowl. Put half of butter on each side of bread. Put bread back together, wrap in aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes or until butter is melted and bread is hot throughout.

Spaghetti Bake

This recipe is adapted from several recipes.
Oven 375 degrees

1 1/2 pounds hamburger
Italian seasoning (to taste)
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 large green pepper diced
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp dried, crushed oregano
1 tsp salt
16 ounces Angel hair, broken and cooked
2 eggs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan
5 Tblsp butter (melted)
3 to 4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Cook hamburger, italian seasoning (to taste), onion, green pepper and garlic until beef is browned and onion and peppers are tender, drain. In large pot put undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, salt and oregano, stir and add beef mixture. Bring mixture to a gentle boil for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
Meanwhile cook Angel hair pasta according to package directions, drain and rinse with cold water. In large bowl beat eggs, melted butter and grated Parmesan cheese, add cooled pasta.
Spray 9 by 13 pan. Put half of the noodle mixture in, then top with half of the meat mixture, then half the cheese. Repeat layers. Cover with aluminum foil, bake for 35 minutes. Take foil off, bake another 20 minutes or until cheese is browned and bubbly.

Something New for me

Ok, So I am going to try my hand at this blogging thing. I have been dabbling at combining or adapting recipes lately. I have found that there are certain things I want in a recipe, but tend to not find in one recipe. I will give credit to those people I take from especially if I have not changed it. The first recipe is for Spaghetti Bake. I am sorry, I didn't take pictures of it last night. I will post the recipe in a separate posting.
